Some Don’t have a choice

780 million people do not have access to safe water sources.

Over 315 thousand children die every year due to water-related diseases.
That’s over 6 thousand a week.

Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year
than all forms of violence, including war
.

Women and Children

In Africa alone, people spend 40 billion hours every year just walking for water.
Women and children often bear the burden of collecting water, having to walk
several hours a day collecting water from polluted sources.

443 million school days are missed each year due to water-related illnesses.

We envision a world where everyone has access to clean drinking water, a world where no child has to die due to preventable water-related diseases.

JUSTICEWATER works directly with local people (families, skilled/un-skilled laborers, community leaders) on every project.

Our goal is training and equipping nationals with the ability to bring innovative solutions to their water problems.

JUSTICEWATER believes in creating ownership. Lack of community involvement creates dependency.

JUSTICEWATER strives to empower people. Beneficiaries participate in water projects by contributing resources and their own time.

More Info and Resources

Our goal is to train local people with the skills they need, in order to secure safe water for themselves and to be able to sustain and multiply the simple technologies in their surrounding areas.

J U S T I C E W A T E R believes that empowering local communities with proper understanding and appropriate technologies can create a movement that can bring far-reaching change.

The hope is to see a movement: local people taking ownership and working to solve the water-related problems for themselves. It doesn’t end with one family, one school, or one village.
